Dashboard
Manage your Citizen Pay account from the web dashboard.
The Citizen Pay Dashboard is the web app where you run your business day to day. It is where you follow money in, money out and who on your team can do what — without touching the terminal itself.
Use the dashboard to:
- Check today's takings across every terminal in your business
- Look up an individual payment when a customer has a question
- See what has been paid into your bank account, and what is still on its way
- Give staff and managers their own logins, with the right level of access
- Keep your business details, receipts and notifications up to date
Set up your terminal first
The dashboard shows data from terminals that are already installed and connected. If you are still getting your hardware online, start with Terminal Setup.
Signing in
- Open the Citizen Pay Dashboard in your browser. Your Citizen Pay contact or your welcome email will give you the address to use.
- Enter the email address your Citizen Pay account was created with.
- Enter your password and continue.
The first person to sign in is normally the business owner, whose account is created during onboarding. Everyone else gets in through an invitation — see Team.
If you cannot sign in
- Wrong email. Use the address your account was set up with, not a shared inbox, unless that shared address is the one on the account.
- Forgotten password. Use the password reset link on the sign-in page and follow the email that arrives. Check your spam folder if it does not appear within a few minutes.
- Invitation expired. Ask the account owner or a manager to send you a fresh invitation.
- Nobody has dashboard access. Contact Citizen Pay support so they can confirm who owns the account.
Keep your login to yourself
Do not share one login between staff. Everyone who needs the dashboard should have their own account, so that actions like refunds can be traced back to a person.
A tour of the dashboard
The dashboard is organised around four areas. Each one has its own page in this guide.
Transactions
Search, filter and export every payment taken across your terminals, and open a single payment to see its full detail.
Payouts
Follow the money from your terminal balance into your bank account, and check the status of a payout that has not arrived.
Team
Invite colleagues, choose what each person can see and do, and remove access when someone leaves.
Settings
Business details, receipt customisation, linked terminals, notifications and security.
The home screen
When you sign in you land on an overview of your business. It is designed to answer the question "how are we doing today?" at a glance, and typically shows:
- Today's takings — total value and number of payments so far today
- Recent activity — the most recent transactions, newest first
- Payout status — your current balance and the next payout heading to your bank
- Terminal status — which of your terminals are online and taking payments
Most figures on the home screen are shortcuts: select a total or a recent payment to jump to the full Transactions or Payouts view behind it.
Where to go next
- New to Citizen Pay? Work through Terminal Setup first, then come back here.
- Money not arriving as expected? Start with Payouts.
- A terminal misbehaving? See Troubleshooting.
