Analytics
What you sold, over any period — totals, comparisons, breakdowns per place and machine, and two CSV exports.
Analytics is the whole organization's sales in one report: "Sales across every place, over any period". Pick a window, narrow it to one place or one machine if you want to, and read the totals, the charts, the breakdowns and — if you run vending machines — what each machine sold, product by product.
Owners and admins see it. Everything is in euro. A place's own Analytics tab is the same report scoped to that one place; see Places. For a full year of transactions in one file for your accountant, use Reports instead.
Choosing a date range
The pills at the top right pick the window: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days (where the page opens), This month, Last month, Last 12 months and Custom.
Custom opens a From and a To date and an Apply button — nothing is fetched until you press Apply, so you can set both ends first. The window lives in the address bar, so you can bookmark a period or send it to a colleague and they see the same figures.
A day is a calendar day in Belgium (Europe/Brussels), from midnight to midnight, wherever you happen to be reading. If your places ever sit in different timezones, a line says so: "Your places are in different timezones, so days are counted in Europe/Brussels."
As of beside the pills is the moment the figures were read.
Place and machine filters
Two dropdowns under the heading narrow the whole page, charts and exports included:
- Place — All places, or one of yours.
- Terminal — All terminals, or one machine. Picking a place first shortens this list to that place's machines, and changing the place clears the machine you had chosen.
"No orders in this period yet. Try a wider range." means the window and the filters together caught nothing — widen the window before you go looking for a fault.
The numbers
Four cards across the top:
- Paid volume — the value of paid orders in the window.
- Paid orders — how many there were.
- Average ticket — volume divided by orders.
- Refunds — how many orders were refunded, with the refunded amount underneath.
Each card carries a badge comparing it with the period immediately before, of the same length: last 30 days against the 30 before that. Hover it for "vs previous period". On the refunds card the colours are the other way round, because more refunds is not better.
Under the cards:
- Daily volume, and the busiest days of the week and hours of the day.
- Breakdowns by Places, payment methods, channels (where the payment came from) and terminals, each row with its share of the total. Vends from a machine on Free vend show up as the Free channel at €0: they count as paid orders and as vends but add nothing to the volume, so they also pull the average ticket down.
- Top items — the ten best-selling items. The rest are in the orders export.
- Daily — a table of date, orders, volume and vends, newest day first, 31 rows to a page.
Vending sales
If any of your terminals drives a vending machine over MDB, a Vending machines section appears: "What each MDB machine reported selling, product by product."
One row per machine, with its total vends and revenue for the window; the first is open already. Open a machine and you get its products:
| Column | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Product | The product name, or Item N |
| Qty sold | How many of it were vended |
| Revenue | What it took |
| Share | That product's share of this machine's own revenue, as a bar and a percentage |
A vending machine reports a selection number, not a product name. The names you see here come from the product catalogue Citizen Pay keeps: the standard numbering most machines ship with, plus per-machine corrections for the ones that were loaded differently. A selection nothing in the catalogue covers reads Item N, where N is that number, and is shown in grey — ask your partner or Citizen Pay support to have it named. Once it is, it carries that name here and in the export, including for sales already recorded: the name is resolved when you read the report, not when the sale happened.
If a partner looks after these machines, they see the same product counts on their Fleet → Products page — the vends and the dates, never the revenue.
Vends per day under the table plots the same units and revenue day by day.
The two exports
Two buttons sit at the right of the filter row. Both export exactly what is on screen: the same window, the same place and machine filters.
Export orders gives one row per paid or refunded order:
date, place, terminal, channel, method, mdb_item, product, quantity, total,
fees, net, status, order_id
date is the moment the order counted (when it was completed, or when it was created if it never
was). quantity is always 1 — one row is one order. product is filled in for a vend (the catalogue
name, or "Item N") and for a counter sale of a single item; an order with several lines leaves it
empty, because one row has nowhere to put them. total minus fees is net, all in euro.
A free vend is a row with the channel free and a total of 0.
Export products is the vending table as a file, one row per machine and product:
place, terminal, item, product, quantity, revenue, share_pct
It is only available when the window actually holds vending sales.
Both files are named after the period (and the place, when you filtered to one), and open in Excel, Numbers or LibreOffice as they are.
